Speakers were blasting at full volume, and everyone lost in dancing and merrymaking to get rid of week's tiredness. Occasion was hostel night. As soon as this song started playing, everyone cheered and waited for doing THE STEP. While everyone's energy level reached new peak, i stopped dancing. I tried to, but my soul was betraying me.

Why shall i dance on an ITEM SONG. And at that moment reality slapped me hard and square on the face.

WHAT ARE WE DOING?????

WHAT HAVE BECOME OF OUR SOCIETY???

WHAT KIND OF EXAMPLE ARE WE SETTING FOR OURSELVES AND THE GENERATIONS TO COME????

With release of every new movie comes something known popularly as ITEM SONGS, & without any doubts everyone know it would be on the top 10 songs list if not NO 1.

  Lets take a close look what it actually is.

A girl dancing in bare minimum clothing possible amidst hundreds of male eyes. I mean no offense here but men are supposed to be men, and they obviously look at women's body. It is, (i dun know what to say) but it's kinda one of their traits.They are actually shown eye raping the girl and enjoying to the fullest. Its like an animal party with drinks flowing and men, men and more men, with one girl dancing to please them.

Let me just not get started about the lyrics and the steps.

What makes actresses agree to do item song is beyond my imagination but 

NEWSFLASH

They are promoting the profession of a tvaiyat. Changing the name to ITEM GIRL won't change the reality. 

Now here's the harsh part. Whenever these songs come on TV, no one changes the channel. rather these are enjoyed. but when an intimate scene comes all hell breaks loose. papa pani pine chale jaenge, beti ko mumma kuch kaam k lie bol denge and bhai channel change kar dega.

WTF

Two contrasting situations getting the exact opposite reaction.

On one side there is a girl getting eye raped, but no one complaints. On the other side two people shown making love with consent is taken as shame. "Kuch bhi dikahte h ye movies mai, sharm lhiaaz to reh hi nhi gai h aajkl"

May be what's said is true but not for what it's said. 

It should be reverse to be frank. But nhi. Pta nhi kyun.

To add more to the degradation of morals, kids are taught to dance on the SUPER AWESOME SONGS, and are shown off proudly by the parents.

"Beta, aunty ko munni badnaam pe dance kar k dikhao."

The child being well behaved and supposed to do what ever elders ask for, do so and get praises and applauds.

"Aapka bacha to bht acha dance krta h. VERY GOOD BETA"

WOW, SIMPLY WOW.

Someone please help me out and tell me what are we doing. how is this part of developing.
