The SACHIN

SACHIIIINNNNN SACHINNNNNN
Cheers loud enough to make the huge wankhade stadium echo, tears in everyone’s eyes showing the sorrow, & smiles were beaming with proud. 16th NOVEMBER 2013, the date which is marked in golden letters, the date which witnessed the farewell of a legend. As the moment of his departure loomed, the country was in the fevered throes of one last, mammoth celebration, but also on the un-self-conscious brink of mourning
Yes I m talking about our hero SACHIN TENDULKAR. The person who needs no introduction. Who marked his presence in cricket’s kal, aaj and kal. Who entered the world of cricket at the tender age of 16 and bid adieu at 40. Still as humble as ever, proving cricket is indeed gentle men’s game.
“24 years in 22 yards”, and these words of his explained his entire life. It was sachin who defined cricket, and it was cricket that refined him. So, would it be that cricket is no more the same without sachin. I think YES, it would be all the same but with redefined standards and landmarks. All thanks to SACHIN.
Well it’s impossible to say anything about him in mere words. Any description would do no justice to him. He witnessed eras changing, new generations coming in the game and his counterparts bidding farewell to the game, yet he still remained the most revered cricketer in India for all generations. And I won’t be making a vague guess if I say that all kind differences be it religion, gender, or the so called “AGE GAP” vanishes when one starts talking about THE SACHIN.
He is missed deeply when we today watch the boys in blue playing without the maestro. I dun know if the coming generation would be missing him or not, but one thing is for sure, whenever there would be a match somewhere someone would be saying “AGAR SACHIN HOTA TO BAAT HI KUCH OR HOTI MATCH KI.” True indeed.
